European Cinema Research Forum 2007 Conference
In association with Studies in European Cinema from Intellect Press and Wexner Center for the Arts
Film Aesthetics and European Cinema: the Seventh European Cinema Research Forum will be held in Columbus, Ohio on The Ohio State University campus from April 27-29, 2007. The conference will feature forty speakers from various universities in the UK, US, Canada, and Singapore.
Our keynote speakers are Janet Bergstrom (UCLA) and Tom Gunning (Univ. of Chicago). Links to their personal web sites can be found on our Resources page.
Panels at this year’s conference include: Film & Other Media, Time & Film Aesthetics, Film (out from) under Dictatorship, The European & the National, Institutions & Aesthetics, Geo-Social Spaces, Film / Theory, Film (as) Fetish, Avant Garde in the 60s & 70s, and Informatics and the Digital In Cinema.
