The goal of the SCA is to provide students the ability to utilize knowledge gained in film studies course work to explore the fields of criticism and film curation. Throughout the process the students involved are asked to take an active role in communicating with Wexner Center programming staff as well as OSU Film Studies faculty to develop a portfolio worthy critical essay geared towards the primary distribution aspect of film text; public presentation.
We cordially invite all OSU students, faculty and the public to a free screening of Le Samourï in the Wexner Center Film/Video Theater at 4pm on Tuesday, March 6th. Alan Weisenberger will introduce the film by reading his winning essay, and the Film Studies Program will present him with a certificate and his cash prize.
