Winner of the 2009 Student's Choice Award!

Winner of the 2009 Student's Choice Award!

The Film Studies Program is proud to name Wesley Sistrunk the winner of the 2009 Student’s Choice Award. This year’s selection committee had a difficult time selecting the winner from the field of eight submissions, but in the end all agreed that Wesley’s essay edged out its competitors.

We cordially invite all film studies students and faculty to a free screening of Cannibal Holocaust (Deodato 1980) in the Wexner Center Film/Video Theater at 4pm on Wednesday, February 4. Wesley will introduce the film by reading his essay, and the Film Studies Program will present him with a certificate and his cash prize. A brief reception will follow the film.

Please come and help us congratulate Wesley as we inaugurate the first annual Student’s Choice Award!

NOTE: Cannibal Holocaust is a horror film with images of extreme violence. Viewer discretion is advised.

Best,

John E. Davidson, Director
