COLUMBUS MOVING IMAGE ART REVIEW 40 - 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY SCREENING
The Columbus Moving Image Art Review (CMIAR) will host its 40th quarterly local moving image screening event on Friday, October 4th from 8pm to 9:30pm at Hagerty Hall 180. CMIAR is a screening event for artists residing in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas. CMIAR was developed by two local moving image artists who wanted to create a way for to celebrate local creators of the 7th art to the presentation medium of the cinema house. This screening marks the Columbus Moving Image Art Reviews 10th year Anniversary as they have been taking place four times a year showing over 600 works since the fall of 2009.
Selected works will be announced prior to the screening event.
The Call for Submissions for the Summer Columbus Moving Image Art Review (CMIAR) 40 is now open.
The deadline for submission is Friday, September 20th 2019. Make sure to visit the submission page to download the form and send your high quality downloadable video link (no youtube links) or DVD at any time up to the deadline. Send in your new or old animations – videos – films, or propose an a/v performance. If it uses light and it moves it is fair game; video, film, animation, documentary, narrative, experimental, student, and professional. We aim to celebrate what central Ohio has to offer – with no time or subject constraints. Year 9 of the Columbus Moving Image Art Review, screenings 36-39, featured 66 works from people of all ages, across all types, and in every cinematic and animated mode. Enjoy a sampling of them all in under 6o seconds.
