Mad Royal Film Festival - Call for Submissions (February 28 deadline)
Mad Royal Film Festival Submission Announcement:
The Mad Royal Film Festival is a creative outlet for OSU students to express their voices through film and have the opportunity to share their work at a screening in the Wex.
All types of short films are encouraged, from narrative to animation; experimental to documentary. We would love to see your work!
Submission Deadline February 28th at 11:59 PM.

Mad Royal Film Festival Submission SUMBISSION REQUIREMENTS BELOW: -applicant is currently a student at The Ohio State University -Please only on submission per applicant (if you are involved with a group project being submitted you may still submit a personal work as well!) -For group projects please submit only ONE form -Submissions should be ten minutes or less -Submissions must be something filmed within the past year (01 January 2021 - present) -Form closes FEBRUARY 28th @ 11:59PM!! |
This year, the Film Fest will be taking place March 22 at 7:00pm.
Since 2018, Mad Royal has put on a free-to-submit, free-to-watch short film festival for student filmmakers at The Ohio State University, and we're thrilled to host them in-person this year!
Each year 90 minutes of shorts are selected and shared with the Ohio State community, in a moment to connect and converse about the films and artists. This year, the festival moves from the pandemic-necessitated online space and back in-person (masked and distanced, of course!).
The Mad Royal Film Festival Awards are judged by staff and alumni from the College of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts at Ohio State. They select awards for a wide variety of categories based upon the submissions from this year’s entries with past categories including Best Acting, Best Editing, and others. Winners will receive a special prize made by members of the Mad Royal E-Board.
