Film Studies Announces New Major in Moving-Image Production

Film Studies is pleased to announce that the Council on Academic Affairs at the Ohio State University has approved the curriculum for a new Bachelor of Arts degree program in Moving-Image Production. Pending the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s approval, we will begin offering the introductory courses for the new Moving-Image Production (MIP) major in Fall Semester of 2017.

The adoption of the Canvas learning management system (LMS) is underway at The Ohio State University. To get the most out of this new LMS, ODEE staff are accompanying 18 individuals, including Film Studies Program Coordinator Matt Swift, to InstructureCon in Colorado from July 19-22.

The Film Studies Program is co-sponsoring the Women in Transnational Ibero American Film Festival presented by the Department of Spanish and Portuguese's Spanish Film Club by Pragda. The third film is The Fish Child (El niño pez) and will be screening in Hagerty Hall 180 at 5:30 pm.
