Paige Piper

Paige Piper is a Lecturer in the Department of French and Italian and the Program in Film Studies at The Ohio State University. She has taught language, culture, and cinema courses at multiple institutions across Ohio, including at The Ohio State University, Denison University, and Wright State University. Paige has published and presented on transnational cinema, television, and comics in multiple journals and international conferences in the U.S., U.K., France, and Canada. Her most recent article on the “Nordic Noir” trend in Francophone visual cultures appeared in the 2018 spring issue of Contemporary French Civilization, and she served as Associate Guest Editor for a special issue of Film Matters Magazine in 2015. Her current research examines the intersections of physical and cultural borders in crime fiction cinema and television. Paige is an avid cinephile and a member of the Midwest Working Group in French and Francophone Cinemas and a screening panel member of the Austin Film Festival.
